Pasir Panjang Beach Singkawang

The City Singkawang is known as Amoy City and the China Town of Indonesia, because its resident majority (around 70%) is from Chinese ethnic. This city is in the border between Indonesia and Malaysia. Our visit will not be completed before we visit Pasir Panjang Beach. This beach become one of tourism icon at Singkawang city and one of the tourism object of West Kalimantan Province. It has been developed to become a centralized tourism package called Taman Pasir Panjang Indah (TPPI). The name Pasir Panjang came from the beach with unfolding curved length gone out to ocean. Speciality From the beach, you can enjoy blue sea panorama and also blue horizon above sea. The green reflection of Lemukutan Island, Kabung Island and Randayan Island are hedged by the sea of Natuna. Clean and wide shore sand welcome you for sunbathing or other activity like beach volleyball and beach football. The clear sea-water and cleanness supports visitor activities who want to swim or dives. The wave is relatively high and become home to many fishes, it also ideal for surfing and fishing arena. The situations of area become exclusive, when sunset at the opposite islands around this beach area. Visitor are able to enjoy it from the beach or from hotel around this area. If you feel satisfied to walk along the beach, you can also look around life of fisherman at fisherman kampong at walking distance from Pasir Panjang Beach or just relax in some shelter at Semenanjung Cinta. Location Pasir Pangjang Beach is located in Kecamatan Tujuh Belas, Singkawang City, West Kalimantan Province, Indonesia Access Singkawang City distance from Pontianak is around 142 kilometer, West Kalimantan Province. From Supadio Airport or Pontianak Bus Terminal, you can catch a cab, travel, or bus until Singkawang City. From Singkawang City Centre, Pasir Panjang Beach is located around 17 kilometers again. You can access it by using cab, bus, or minibus. Ticket price You have to pay Rp 5000,- per people to enter the beach. Other Accomodation and Facility At Pasir Panjang Beach area there are tourism information center, rental of speed boat, water bicycle, go kart, shelter-shelter, hotel and souvenir stall. Visitor who cannot swim along the beach can also use the available swimming pool or you can go around the beach with rising banana boat. Visitor who bring their children are able to nestle because the availability of playing arena for children. Visitor will not difficult to look for food because there are restaurant, cafe and hawkers. If you want to stay overnight, you don’t have to bring your tent or sleeping bag because there are available hotel with various types.
