Page 1 of 2  Not less than fourteen sub-provinces in Papua have it uniqueness and fascination to all tourists who visit this province. There are many choices of tourism point where we can visit. There is maritime tourism dedicated a fascinating marine park, culture tourism, history and also fauna and flora tourism which we cannot see in other place. All place those tourist point are still amazingly very natural. Where the civilizations are still primitive, makes Papua as a real interesting place to visit for local and foreign tourists.
At Jayapura City, formerly known as Hollandia, there is a museum providing Papua cultural information. Like wood engraving from various sub-provinces, equipment of war, jacquards and custom dance, and various rites and historical stuff.
 At Sentani, there is monument Douglas Mc Arthur General, the omission of World War II. at the north side of Mc Arthur monument at 325 meter high there is mountain plain of Cyclop with Dofonsoro as the top of the mountain. This very beautiful area and become defense basis of Mc Arthur army.
From top of Cyclops we can see Lake Sentani with its blue transparent water. This lake occupied 9.670 hectares of land. Lake Sentani is also very beautiful recreation place and very well suited for relaxing.
If you wish to continue your journey from Jayapura, it will be complete we visit Biak. In the sub-province of East Biak, RIM village, there is a lot of rare bird which can only be met in Papua at its bird park. This bird park size is about two hectares.
 This area also offers a very beautiful marine park. Located at Padaido archipelago, consist of 30 isles and island, This Padaido Marine Park is a world class marine park, offering various sea plants, rock and assorted of small and big fish type.
TLaurentz National Park located at Paniai Area, Puncak Jaya, Jayawijaya, and Merauke. At Puncak Jaya or usually called Cartenz Pyramid you can found an endless snow top. Cartenz Pyramid was found by a Dutchman the year 1678. Cartenz Pyramid is the only one mountain in South East Asia which have endless snow-capped top.
Besides Laurentz National Park, Papua also has Cendrawasih Bay National Park. This garden represents the ecosystem of sea rock, coast, tropical mangrove and forest of island continent in Papua.
 Cendrawasih Bay National Park is the biggest water national park in Indonesia, consist of continent and coast coastal area (0,9%), islands continent ( 3,8%), sea rock (5,5%), and ocean water territory ( 89,8%).
Cendrawasih Bay National Park is famous with its board fish type. Noted approximately 209 kind of fish are living at this area such as butterfly fish, angelfish, damselfish, parrotfish, rabbit fish, and anemone fish.
There are four turtle types often lands in this national park that is scale turtle ( Eretmochelys imbricata), green turtle ( Chelonia mydas), turtle bursts ( Lepidochelys olivaceae), and turtle belimbing ( Dermochelys coriacea). Mermaid (Dugong dugon), blue whale ( Balaenoptera musculus), coconut crab ( Birgus latro), lumba-lumba, and shark often seen in water territory of Cendrawasih Bay National Park.
There is nature cave from the ancient period, source of hot spring brimstone water with no contaminant of salt at Misowaar Island, Water Cave at 100 feet deep at Mangguar Coast. Small number of omissions from 18 century can be found at some places as in Wendesi, Wasior, and Yomber. Christian also visit church in Yende Village at Roon Island, just for seeing holy book from the year of 1898. If you wish to visit or simply making a trip, May up to October is the best time to go to Papua.
Some interesting tourism objects you should visit:
- Rumberpon Island. Animal (bird) observation, deer breeding, maritime tourism, dives and snorkeling, plane framework combats Japan falling on the sea.
- Nusrowi Island. Diving and snorkeling, maritime tourism and animal observation.
- Mioswaar Island. Hot Spring Water, waterfall, diving and snorkeling, animal observation and culture tourism.
- Yoop Island and Windesi water territory. Observation of whale and porpoise.
- Roon Island. Observation of bird, diving and snorkeling, waterfall, culture tourism, and old church.

 aq cinta sekali dng Indonesia. di bandingkan dg negara lain ngara qt jauh lebih indah. tp krn pendu2kny yg krg perhatian jd g indah lg JAWA misalnya.masak laut dijadikan tempat sampah itu kan dh kelewatan.
wilyh yg bener2 msh alanmi tu y di bagian timur.rasanya pingin pindah ke sana tp g punya uang.
buat yg di sana tolong jaga negeri qt yach. g harus perang atau bw senjata cukup dg pelihara linkngan. klo ad yg mau bikiin kacau jg boleh klo perlu hajar aja dia.
andai saja qt smua sadar klo qt itu kaya lho..... |

sy sngt kagum dgn kergaman hayati di Papua bnyak banget, ayo sobat kapan lagi kalau tidak kita jaga dari skarng. oh ya, lirik juga donk di Mkawri tepatnya Gunung meja yang jadi HWA Gumen or spanjang pantura. |

papua adalah kota yang indah jadi tempat-tempat wisata yang ada bisa menjadi suatu kebanggaan tersendiri bagi generasi papua dan tidak hanya tempatnya saja yang menjadi wisata tetapi kebudayaannya juga dengan demikian daerah/bangsa lain dapat menikmati keindahan papua secara utuh |

Papua, adalah salah satu tempat yg akan saya tuju u/berlibur tahun 2008 ini... krn negrinya SANGAT KAYA akan tambang emas, sungainya yg bersih & hutan belantaranya yg luas, tapi penduduk aslinya ada yg masih hidup spt zaman batu...???
